Rudra Yogpeeth
Something that you can hear. Right? But do you know Sound is also known as a vibration or an energy that floats around us in diverse forms? Every sound we hear impacts us in the most incredible way. It can decide our mood, day, and sometimes our decisions as well. Sound is not merely something we hear but a source that carves the course of our lives.
The Sound Healing YTT course by Rudra Yogpeeth is designed to heal and channel your energy chakras. This course is a training program and a therapeutic ride to living life.
Call someone you love and hear their voice. Hear them speaking for 2-3 minutes, and then see how you feel. No matter the voice, the energy or the sensation reaches you and makes you feel happy.
The Sound healing course at Rudra Yogpeeth is dedicated to those individuals who are willing to understand how sound creates a powerful impact on our physical and spiritual selves and why it is essential to learn sound healing techniques in this fast-paced life where our minds are primarily chaotic, our brains are always running faster than our senses and we find us in a vicious loop that is so crucial to break.

Understanding The Basics
The Sound Healing Teacher Training in Rishikesh at Rudra Yogpeeth is a seven-day residential course that takes you through all three levels of Tibetan sound healing — Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, gong, tingsha and voice, the frequencies behind them, and how to hold a safe sound bath for a group or a one-to-one therapy session. It is a therapy training in its own right: there is no yoga qualification to hold first, and complete beginners are welcome.
You begin with the instruments themselves — the types of Himalayan singing bowls, how to choose one, how to hold it, and the technique to rotate and strike it. Alongside that come aura cleansing and sealing, mind-relaxation and digestive therapy, water charging, and the safety rules every sound healer works within.
The second level moves to the seven chakras — reading where energy is blocked and clearing it with the bowls. You practise chakra balancing, physical and mental therapy, self-healing, and using sound to cleanse a space before a session begins.
By the final level you are conducting a complete sound bath yourself. You cover Universal Vedic and Tibetan styles of therapy, affirmation and relationship therapy, targeted work for the shoulders, spine, hips and joints, pyramid bowl therapy, and an introduction to mantra and mudra — then lead a full session for the group.
Course Structure
The Sound Healing Teacher Training in Rishikesh at Rudra Yogpeeth is a seven-day residential course covering all three levels of sound healing. Batches run from the 24th to the 30th of every month, and the fee covers tuition, your room and three sattvic meals a day — ₹17,999 shared or ₹21,999 private.
The structure follows the sound rather than a timetable of subjects. The two practice blocks sit where the mind is quietest — 3:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon and 8:00 to 10:00 at night, once the ashram has settled and the bowls can be heard properly. Between them you have self-study with the instruments. By the final days you are holding a full sound bath for the group yourself.

Discipline In Our Yoga Community

At Rudra Yogpeeth, you’re not just coming for classes; you’re living together as a small yoga community. Here, we follow the idea of Karma Yoga, which simply means doing your part with awareness. Keeping your space clean, being on time, and respecting others are small things, but they make a big difference in how you experience the course. Over time, this naturally builds discipline and focus.
During your stay, we maintain a simple and clean lifestyle. Only vegetarian meals are served, and the use of alcohol, tobacco, non-vegetarian food, or any kind of drugs is not allowed. This environment is created to support your yoga practice, helping you stay clear in mind, balanced in body, and fully present in your learning experience.
How Your Day Looks Like
Sound work asks for a different rhythm from an asana course. You wake at 6:00 AM, and the two practice blocks sit where the mind is quietest — 3:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon, and 8:00 to 10:00 at night, when the ashram has settled and the bowls can be heard properly. Between them, 5:00 to 7:00 is self-study: learning the instruments, the scales and the sequencing in your own time. Lights go off at 10:00 at the sound healing TTC in Rishikesh.
Day by day, this simple yet powerful routine helps you develop discipline, confidence and a genuine love for yoga.

Who Is This Course For
This course is open to everyone. You do not need to be flexible, experienced, or certain about becoming a yoga teacher. If you are genuinely interested in yoga and willing to commit to the learning process, you are welcome here.
Some students join to teach professionally, while others come to deepen their personal practice, reset mentally, or experience authentic yogic living in Rishikesh. No prior yoga experience is required.
Why Rudra Yogpeeth
With hundreds of yoga schools in Rishikesh, choosing the right one is one of the most important decisions of your yoga journey. Here is why thousands of students from across the world searching for the best sound healing teacher training in India choose Rudra Yogpeeth year after year:
Join a school that is trusted, certified, and rooted in Rishikesh — the birthplace of yoga. Limited seats per batch, so secure yours early.
Rudra Yogpeeth holds an active RYS 200 registration with Yoga Alliance USA for its 200-hour yoga programme. Sound healing is not a Yoga Alliance pathway, but the same faculty, facilities and standards of teaching carry over to this course — you are learning at a school that is accountable for how it teaches.
One thing that sets Rudra Yogpeeth apart is that no single teacher handles everything. Each subject — Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga, Meditation, Pranayama, Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy, and Sound Healing — is taught by a dedicated specialist who holds an RYT-500 certification and has 10+ years of real teaching experience. You get the depth and clarity that only a true subject expert can offer, which makes every class richer, safer and more transformative.
Over the years, Rudra Yogpeeth has welcomed more than 10,000 students from 60+ countries. Many of them share their experiences on platforms like Google and Yoga Alliance, with an average rating of 4.9 out of 5. It's this genuine feedback and word-of-mouth that has helped build trust over time.
We keep things simple when it comes to fees. The course price is all-inclusive, covering your stay, meals, classes, and study materials, so you can focus fully on your training without worrying about extra or hidden costs.
We intentionally keep our batch sizes small (approx. 15–20 students per batch) so that each student receives individual attention, hands-on adjustments, and personalised feedback from teachers — a key factor that sets serious yoga schools apart from overcrowded institutions.
All accommodation options, from shared rooms to private rooms, are clean, safe, and offer mountain-facing views. Three wholesome sattvic meals are served daily, prepared fresh with organic vegetables, with vegan and no-garlic/onion options available.
Learning does not stop in the classroom. Students get to experience cave meditation, Himalayan sunrise tours, Ganga Aarti ceremonies, Ganga bath rituals, temple visits and kirtan nights as part of their training — giving the course a deeply spiritual and culturally rich dimension that most schools never offer.
By the end of your training, you don’t just receive a certificate—you leave with the confidence to teach, a deeper personal practice, and a clearer understanding of yoga as a way of life.

Your Certificate

You finish with a Rudra Yogpeeth Ancient Sound Healing Teacher Training certificate, awarded once you have completed all three levels taught on the course and been assessed on them. It is a course completion certificate issued by the school that trained you, and it names exactly what you were taught: the therapeutic application of sound, the instruments, and how to hold a session for other people.
Sound healing is a speciality rather than a registration pathway, so no governing body anywhere issues a sound healing licence — not Yoga Alliance, not anyone else. What a studio, retreat centre or private client looks at is the training itself: who taught you, how many hours you actually spent with the bowls and gongs, and whether you can read a room and run a full session on your own.
What the certificate says you can do
If you already hold a 200-hour yoga teacher training, sound healing sits on top of it as a speciality you can advertise, and it pairs naturally with the end of a yoga class. If you do not, you are still very welcome — sound healing stands on its own, and many of our students come from massage, therapy and bodywork rather than yoga.
Your Teaching Journey Begins
With your sound healing teacher training in Rishikesh behind you, you can begin teaching in a way that suits your lifestyle and goals.
Many students begin by teaching at local yoga studios, gyms, or wellness centres to gain real experience in front of a class and build a teaching rhythm.
Online classes allow you to reach students beyond your location and build your own small community — ideal for those who want to teach from anywhere in the world.
One-to-one or small group classes are common when starting out and help you grow your confidence as a teacher with personalised, focused work.
Freelance teaching gives you the freedom to manage your own schedule and style of teaching, choosing where, when, and how you want to share your practice.
Some teachers gradually build their own regular classes, workshops, or retreats over time — turning teaching into a sustainable, self-directed practice.
If you are already in fitness, therapy, or wellness, yoga can be added as part of what you offer — deepening your existing work and broadening your value to clients.
Most students don't do everything at once. Some start part-time, some go full-time. The course gives you a clear starting point — you build the rest step by step.
