The terms on which Rudra Yogpeeth accepts bookings for yoga teacher training courses in Rishikesh, and on which you may use this website.
Last updated: 4 November 2026
These terms apply to www.rudrayogpeeth.org and to every course booked with Rudra Yogpeeth, Ghugtyani Malli, Tapovan, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand 249137, India. By enquiring, booking or joining a course you accept them. Please read section 5 on refunds and section 11 on health before you pay anything.
The course descriptions, syllabus outlines, dates and fees on this site are published in good faith and kept as accurate as we can make them. They are an invitation to enquire, not a binding offer. Nothing on this site is medical advice.
You may read, print and share these pages for your own use. You may not copy our text, photographs, syllabus or course materials for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Sending an enquiry form does not reserve a place. A booking exists only when we have confirmed it to you in writing, by e-mail or on WhatsApp, and your deposit has reached us.
You are responsible for giving us accurate details — your name as it appears on your passport, a working e-mail address and a phone number we can reach you on. We confirm bookings on a first-come basis and a group closes once it is full.
Our fees are the same for Indian and international students. The fee quoted for your course covers tuition, course materials, accommodation and meals for the stated dates, together with anything else listed as included on that course's page.
Flights, visa costs, travel insurance, airport transfers unless separately arranged, personal expenses, additional nights before or after the course, and extras such as air conditioning or heating are not included. Any charge for an extra is told to you before it is added.
A deposit confirms your seat. The balance is settled when you arrive at the school, unless we have agreed something else with you in writing.
You are responsible for any bank charges, card fees or currency conversion costs on a payment you make to us.
Please read this section carefully. By paying a deposit you accept it.
If something serious happens in your life close to the start date, write to us. We would rather move your booking than lose you, and we have done so many times.
Obtaining the correct visa for India is your responsibility, as are your flights and your travel to Rishikesh. Please check the current requirements for your nationality well in advance and tell us if you need a letter confirming your booking.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering the whole of your stay, including cancellation and emergency medical treatment. We are not responsible for losses arising from a refused visa, a cancelled or delayed flight, or a journey you are unable to make.
All our courses are residential. Shared and private rooms are available; the room type you booked is the one we hold for you. Air conditioning and heating are available at additional cost where the course page says so.
Meals served on the premises are vegetarian. If you will miss a meal, please tell reception at least three hours in advance so food is not prepared and wasted. Tell us about allergies and dietary requirements before you arrive so the kitchen can plan for them; we will do our best, but we cannot guarantee an environment free of any particular ingredient.
Non-vegetarian food, alcohol and smoking are not permitted anywhere on the Rudra Yogpeeth premises. Pets may not be kept in rooms.
We are a traditional yoga school and the course is a shared, disciplined life rather than a hotel stay. While you are with us:
Rudra Yogpeeth may remove a student from a course at any time for misconduct, for behaviour that harms other students or our staff, or for repeatedly breaking these rules. No refund is given in that case, and you would be responsible for your own onward travel and accommodation.
Our teacher training courses are registered with Yoga Alliance. A certificate is issued when you have attended the course in full and passed the final assessment, which has both a theory and a practical part.
Attending a course does not by itself guarantee a certificate. Registering afterwards as an RYT with Yoga Alliance is a separate step that you take directly with Yoga Alliance, under their rules and fees; we issue the training certificate that allows you to do it. You can confirm our registration on the Yoga Alliance school directory.
The daily schedule, the order of subjects and the teacher taking a particular class may change. Where a teacher is unavailable we replace them with another teacher of comparable experience. These changes do not alter the hours or the syllabus you were promised and are not grounds for a refund.
Yoga is a physical practice and you take part at your own risk. You must tell us before the course begins about any injury, illness, surgery, pregnancy, mental health condition or medication that could affect your practice, and you should consult a doctor if you are in any doubt about taking part.
During class you are responsible for working within your own limits and for telling your teacher when something hurts. Our teachers will adapt and offer alternatives, but they can only do so if you speak up.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rudra Yogpeeth is not liable for injury, illness or loss arising from your participation, except where it is caused by our own negligence. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Please look after your passport, money, phone, laptop and other valuables. We are not responsible for items lost, damaged or stolen on the premises. Use the lockers provided.
We sometimes photograph or film classes, ceremonies and graduations for our website and social media. If you would prefer not to appear, tell us at the start of your course and we will keep you out of them.
How we handle the information you give us is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your booking is the one published on the day we confirmed it. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Uttarakhand have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If a disagreement arises, please contact us first — almost everything is settled with a conversation.
Write to info@rudrayogpeeth.org, call or message +91 8534973621, or use the form on our contact page.
